NCRLAP has been assessing environments in child care centers, family child care homes, public schools, and after-school programs for the North Carolina Star Rated License since 1999. We support the development and maintenance of high quality care through reliable assessments and focused trainings and resources for the child care community.
Since the project began NCRLAP assessors have completed 43,027 observations across the state North Carolina..
In 2020-2021,NCRLAP conducted 84 training events with over 2,400 participants!
NCRLAP is a vibrant organization in which people of diverse perspectives and backgrounds create, access, and share relationships and resources equitably.

For reasons related to COVID-19, NCRLAP will postpone conducting assessments until we receive further guidance from the DCDEE. We understand this is a time of uncertainty and that programs are working hard to make the best decisions for the children and families they serve.
